It is with great sadness that the Lund family announces Wendell's passing. He will be sorely missed by his loving wife Beryl, daughters Erica Anastasakis (Ioannis) and Adria, grandchildren Nicholas and Katerina, mother Evodia, and siblings Les (Brenda), Lynette Young (Dave) and Merrill (Linda), as well as numerous nieces and nephews and many, many friends (especially his "harem"). He was predeceased by his father Lawrence and his aunt Vendela Anderson.
Wendell had a long and successful career with IBM in Edmonton and Toronto, and then a second career in marketing consulting in Toronto and Canmore. He always told Beryl that moving to Canmore was the best decision they ever made. He was so right!
After retirement, Rotary became his passion.
He loved being a part of such a caring, dynamic group of people.
The family wishes to thank Drs. Reed, Easaw, Hinds, Sargent, Mallard and Palme, as well as the Canmore Hospital staff, for their care and support.
A memorial service is to be held in his honour on Saturday, March 19, 2011 at 11:00 AM at St. Michael's Anglican Church Hall in Canmore.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made, in Wendell's memory, to the National Pancreatic Cancer Canada Foundation,
