Theodor "Ted" Bohnet of Canmore, passed away Tuesday,

May 30, 2017 at St. Martha's Place, Banff Mineral Springs Hospital

at the age of 92 years.

Ted was born in 1925 in Ustaszevo (Korntal), Poland, and immigrated

to Canada after the war to be with his family in Luseland, Sask.

He worked on farms and various construction jobs for several years.

In 1952 he started work at Canada Cement Lafarge and stayed there

for 34 years until his retirement in 1987. Ted raised his family in Exshaw until the passing of his wife Gertrude in 1974, after which he moved to Canmore. Ted was a gentle soul, was well liked, and could often be seen in the coffee shops around town until he moved to the Bow River Lodge.

Ted is predeceased by his wife Gertrude and is survived by his four sons: Nick (Jola), Harry (Marylyn), Ralph (Brenda), Mark (Mandy)

and 7 grandchildren. He enjoyed a very special friendship with

Florence Lewis for the past 30 years.

The family wish to express their sincere gratitude to the nurses and staff of St. Martha's Place for their kind, loving and compassionate care for Ted during the last months of his life.

The funeral service was held on Friday, June 9, 2017 at the Banff Park Church. Interment preceded the service in the Canmore Cemetery where he was laid to rest with Gertrude.

In lieu of flowers, friends wishing to remember Ted are encouraged to make a donation, in his memory, to St. Martha's Place, Banff Mineral Springs Hospital, Covenant Foundation, Room 3C60,
