Shirley Hoffman

Shirley Irene Hoffman (née Spracklin) passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 in Canmore, Alberta at the age of 72 after a courageous two year battle with Ovarian Cancer.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 52 years, Gary,

her children Lynda (Duncan) Armstrong of Peterborough, Ontario and Michael (Nadine) Hoffman of Calgary, Alberta and her beloved grandchildren, Sarah Armstrong, Matthew Armstrong and Olivia Hoffman. Shirley leaves behind her sisters Betty (Rennie) Lucas and Elaine (d. Dennis) MacDonald, and brother-in-law David (Katie) Hoffman as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends in Canmore, Calgary, Ontario and elsewhere across the country. She was predeceased by her parents Bessie and Albert Spracklin and her sister Carole (d. Bill) Johnstone.

A celebration of Shirley's life was held on Saturday, May 31 at

St Michael's Anglican Church, Canmore, followed by a reception at the Canmore Golf and Curling Club. Friends were requested to honour Shirley by wearing their brightest spring colours to the service.

Cremation has taken place and a private family interment will take place later this summer in Ontario.

The family requests no flowers.
