Sally Roy

Sally passed away in the early morning on Friday, May 24, 2013

at the age of 68 years, in the loving arms of her husband

of 32 years, Denis.

Sally managed her cancer with hope and realism. Through the last months she was surrounded by her 3 children Kathy (Mark), Mark (Patience), Peter ( Cassia); Denis's children, Annie (Benoit), Isabelle ( Hugo), as well as her 6 grandsons, and Sally's siblings Penney (Patrick), Alex (Janet), Nancy (John).

Sally's first career, as well as Mother, was Nursing after her graduation in 1977. She met Denis in 1981 and they moved from Quebec to Canmore in 1990. Together they enjoyed skiing, canoeing, camping, and were ever so graceful dancing in their cowboy boots. Sally also enjoyed her book club friends, tennis , quilting and volunteering.

On Saturday June 8, 2013, there was a farewell for family and friends at the Canmore Cemetery Columbarium followed by a Community gathering at the Canmore Royal Canadian Legion

Denis wishes to extend a grateful thank you to Dr. Andy Reed, Canmore Cancer Unit Team, Acute Care and especially Community Care with Marguerite Duncan and caring team who allowed Sally to remain at home through her last days.
