It is with extreme sadness the family announces the sudden passing of Ron "Lazzy" Lazzarotto at the Foothills Medical Center in Calgary at the age of 72. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 50 years, Marie Lazzarotto, Daughters Brenda, Lisa (Robin) and Grandsons Keegan and Braden Bushulak. Sister Linda (Ron), Lionel (Heather), Ritchie (Sandi) as well as many nieces and nephews and lifelong friends. Ron was predeceased by his parents Jino and Milly Lazzarotto as well as his in-laws Bill and Florence Tipton.
Ron was born and raised in Exshaw and was actively involved in the community. He was employed at Lafarge for 40 years and retired in 2010 as a Master Electrician. Ron was also a loyal brother to the Boilermakers Union. Ron played many years of hockey in the Bow Valley where lifelong friendships were made. "Got any tape" could always be heard in the dressing room. Ron enjoyed watching his grandsons playing hockey, being their #1 fan travelling all over the province. He also enjoyed his fishing and hunting trips.
A very special thank you to the Exshaw Fire Department, Canmore EMS, and all the wonderful Nurses and Doctors on the ICU unit at the Foothills Medical Center.
As per Ron's request there will not be a funeral.
