Rod Lee

It is with much sadness and heavy heart that we share the passing of Rodney Justin Lee, born in Kent, England, who called Canmore his home for well over 20 years and died peacefully in the Canmore Hospital. Rod is survived by his daughter Melissa in Calgary.

Rod was a well-educated man with credentials to support his involvement in many high profile projects and publications.

He had an interesting and decorated work history which included the Canmore Nordic Centre and movie sets of Mystery Alaska and The Last of the Dogman. He enjoyed the challenges of the daily crossword puzzles, reading, and conversing with many of his cronies at the local pubs. He was very much a part of this community, always up for lending a hand for whoever needed it.

Rod jumped at every chance to go fishing and camping. He loved being outdoors and friends will dearly miss him at the "man's" weekend camping trips; but he will never be forgotten.

We would like to sincerely thank Dr. M. Quinlan, Canmore home care services support team and all the nurses and staff for their continuous care during his time at the Canmore Hospital.

We appreciated the tenderness and kindness shown to him.

Cremation has taken place. A gathering of friends and family was held at Hogshead (107-721 Main St., Canmore) on Monday, May 29. Everyone was welcomed to come and share your stories with his daughter, Melissa, alongside everyone who had the privilege of calling him their friend and in most cases, their family.
