Rick Craig

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. Richard Ernest Craig passed away in the Canmore Hospital with his wife Mary Ann

by his side.

Rick was an inspiration to all he met. He was an advocate for children being involved in many organizations. He was on the school board for 20 years and was also on the Air Cadets board, the soccer board as well as involved with the Exshaw Legion.

He loved watching his oldest grandson, Jarek play hockey, soccer and football and watching grandson Skylar play baseball and was so proud he had found his place with football as the equipment manager.

Rick was proud of, and loved with all his heart, his children

and his grandchildren.

Rick did a lot of volunteer work, both in Exshaw and Canmore. He was in charge of the Exshaw Community bingo for years on Monday nights. He took care of the Exshaw Legion's Children's Christmas tree for may years was active in Canmore at the Bow Valley Connection Centre, the organization for our special need youth and adults.

He will fondly be remembered and sadly missed by his wife of

31 ½ years Mary Ann; children Natasha (David) Rathwell, Ethel (John) Anwieller, Cameron, C.J., Kyla; his grandchildren Jarek, Skylar, Christian, Melanie and Daymon as well as his brothers Doug (Anna), Bob and Jim and his God Brother Ron (Laurie) Court and many other family and friends.

Rick was predeceased by his grand parents, his mom Muriel

in 1995, sister Wendy in 2004, brother Don in 2006 and

his father Bob in 2007.

Friends wishing to remember Rick are encouraged to make a donation, in his memory to the Canmore and Area Health Care Foundation for use in the Canmore Hospital, 1100 Hospital Place, Canmore, AB T1W 1N2 or to a charity of your choice.

Celebration gathering of family and friends took place on Friday, January 6, 2017 at the Canmore Golf and Curling Club.
