Rick Coucill

Rick passed away Saturday, October 1, 2011 at the Rockyview Hospital in Calgary, due to complications from cancer.

Rick was born in Toronto and moved to Alberta in the 1960's. Like many young people in the Bow Valley, Rick came to the mountains and never left. He made his life's work in the transportation industry, both driving taxi and in tour bus operation

Rick is survived by his son Jason Frederick Miles Coucill; his ex-wife Linda Hay (Coucill); twin grandchildren Jayden and Mickayla; his sister Vickki Miller; as well as a very special person in his life as his caregiver, Edith Kendall. He is also survived by numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, and many, many friends throughout the Bow Valley. He was predeceased by his parents Frederick and June Coucill.

His family would like to extend our sincere thanks to the Doctors, nurses and staff at the Rockyview Hospital in Calgary for their personal care and concern for Rick during his treatments and stay there.

Friends were invited to join with the family for a gathering to remember Rick's life on Friday, October 14, 2011 at the Georgetown Inn, Canmore.
