The Rev. George Alan Belcher, former rector of St. George's-in-the-Pines Anglican Church in Banff, passed away on Friday, 23rd November 2018 with deep peace, grace and acceptance.
George was a man with a generous heart, full of kindness,
who made others feel genuinely valued and appreciated.
He leaves behind his wife, Helen, his children Catharine (Don),
Jeffrey (Jacqueline), Thomas (Janis), Dunstan, and David; his grandchildren Taylor, Derick, and Daniel Schoendorfer, Lila and Camille, Sylvia and Sarah, Cecile and Margot; also his brothers
Jim and Daniel Weber, his sisters Nora Weber and Kate Welsh.
He was predeceased by his birth mother Muriel Weber, his parents
Alan and Margery Belcher, a brother Skip Wilson and his much loved daughter-in-law Charlotte Miller Belcher.
The funeral took place at the Anglican Cathedral Church
of The Redeemer (604-1st St. SE, Calgary) on Tuesday,
December 4th at 1pm.
George was then laid to rest in Queen's Park Cemetery in Calgary.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Anglican Cathedral Church of The Redeemer (Calgary), St. Georges-in-the-Pines Anglican Church (Banff) or the Calgary Drop-In Centre.
