Pearl Marshall

Pearl Irene Marshall (nee Moxam), beloved wife for 65 years to Dean Marshall, passed away peacefully, with family at her side, on Sunday, December 22, 2013 at the Golden Eagle View Health Center in Canmore, where she had been a resident for the past almost nine years. Besides her husband Dean, Pearl is survived by six of her seven children: Connie (Ted) Williams; Susan (Jonas ) Hegelstad; Don (Kelly) Marshall; Foster (Heather) Marshall; Blain (Lynda) Marshall and David (Tracy) Marshall. She was predeceased by her son Curtis Marshall in 1990. She is also survived by 30 grandchildren and many great and great-great grand children, nieces and nephews.

Pearl was born on December 29, 1926 in Kamloops B.C. She attended school in Edson, Alberta and nursed in Edmonton. After she married the love of her life at Oakville Ont. in 1948, Pearl and Dean lived in Edson, Alberta, then Sundre, Alberta and in 1962 moved to Canmore.

Dean worked for the Spray Lakes Sawmill until retirement.

Pearl was the "Avon Lady" for many years, hockey mom, enjoyed curling and was great at hospitality.

She was a wonderful lady who God used to bless all who met her.

She has given us a legacy of Love and will be greatly missed.

Pearl is now walking / running / dancing in the streets of gold.

The family wish to thank Dr. Andy Reed, the Canmore Hospital and Golden Eagle View nurses and staff for the loving care and compassion shown to Pearl through the final years of her life.

Funeral Service for Pearl was held on Friday, January 3, 2014

in St. Michael's Anglican Church in Canmore.

She was then laid to rest in the Canmore Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, friends wishing to remember Pearl may make a donation, in her memory, to the Canmore and Area Health Care Foundation, 1100 Hospital Place, Canmore, AB T1W 1N2 directed for use in the Golden Eagle View care facility.
