Patrick Rene Ganter-Pomares passed away peacefully in his sleep just before midnight on Thursday, September 16, 2010. He is survived by his loving wife, Christine Ganter-Pomares of Canmore, her children Mandi, Trevor, Ray (Amanda), and Kari Ganter. Patrick is also survived by his children Kim (Rachel), Luc (Alana), Kelly, Kent and Kylian Pomares. He will be greatly missed by his 14 grandchildren, who all had a special place in his heart.
Patrick will be remembered for his wonderful spirit, kind words, good deeds, warm hugs and his loving smile.
The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Kirk, Dr. Duggleby and the exceptional nurses and staff at the Canmore Hospital for the wonderful, compassionate care provided to Patrick.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
Patrick chose to bequeath his body to the University of Calgary, School of Medicine for research and study.
A memorial service was held at The Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter-day Saints, 457 cougars Street, Banff on Saturday, October 9, 2010.
