Mike Mahoney

Mike was born in Saskatoon Saskatchewan the youngest of 8 children raised by Mary Ann and Thomas Mahoney in a close family home. After Mike graduated from High School in Saskatoon, the clean mountain air called him and he moved to the Canmore and Banff area where he stayed until his death.

Mike fought a tough battle with Liver Cancer and was predeceased by his wife Tracey (2002), his father Tom (1979), sister Norma (1981), brother Jerry (1981), mother Mary (1993), sister Veronica 2006, and sister Florence (2008) and is survived by his sisters Carol Simonin – Calgary, Jean Mahoney – Saskatoon and his brother John Mahoney – Winnipeg. Mike also has 16 nieces and nephews and enjoyed going to the Leader Family Farm in Foam Lake Saskatchewan whenever he could make it out there.

Mike has asked to be cremated, and have his and Tracey's ashes scattered on the farm.

A celebration of Mike's life took place at the Canmore Legion on Saturday, March 12, 2016. All were welcomed to raise a pint and enjoy memories of Mike.
