Michelle George

d. May 19, 2020

It is with extreme sorrow we announce the passing of Michelle Marie George (also known as Michelle Joudrie) on May 19, 2020 at 50 years of age. Michelle was the proud, loving mother of Ghislaine (Gigi) and Bryant Joudrie. Beloved daughter of Robert and Sybil George and the late Ann Marie George. Sorely missed by her sisters Margaret, Patty, Mary Tsambourlianos (Kostas) and Diane (Jeff Parker), and her nieces and nephews.

Michelle was born in Windsor, Ontario on August 14, 1969, and later moved with her family to Arizona. It was there where she met Guy Joudrie, and the two eventually moved to Alberta and opened Guy's Cafe and Bakery in Cochrane.

Michelle was easy-going, very friendly, talkative, warm-hearted and giving. She loved music, a good cup of coffee, movies, reading, crosswords and travel. Michelle will be missed by the water polo community far and wide, including the Splash ladies team, the Torpedoes and Renegades in Calgary and the UC Irvine team. She was extremely proud of Gigi and Bryant's accomplishments in sport. She will also be missed by her loving co-workers at Best Buy. Michelle had a profound love of dogs and was an adoring dog mom to Duke and Jake.

Our sincere gratitude and appreciation for the heroes at the Tom Baker Cancer Centre, including Dr. Patricia Tang, friend and nurse Tracey Frey-Huizer, and the rest of the amazing team.
