Mary Lebel

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother who passed away in Calgary on July 2, 2011, surrounded by her loving family, at the age of 94.

Mary was predeceased by her husband Charles in 1997 and is survived by children Bea (Ron) Corbiell, Allen (Grace) LeBel, Nancy (Russell) Eklund and Teresa (Gary) Purcell as well as 12 grand children and 18 great grand children She is also survived by her brother Peter Lesnak of Calgary and sister Susie Hayley of Toronto.

Mary was born on December 29, 1916. She married Charles in 1939 and spent most of her married life living in Exshaw, AB before moving to Calgary in 1997. In her younger years she was an avid curler, enjoyed gardening and was noted for her beautiful flower gardens. Family gatherings were always very special to Mom.

She is sadly missed.

Vigil Prayers were held Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at 7:00 pm at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Canmore, AB.

Funeral Mass was Celebrated Thursday, July 7, 2011 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Canmore. Interment followed at the Canmore Cemetery.
