We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Marjorie Baillie on November 2, 2015 at the age of 81years. Marjorie was born on
August 24, 1934 in Toronto, Ontario to Edward and Violet Bradley.
She grew up alongside her two sisters, Joyce and Gwen, and her brother, Ted, before meeting a tall handsome man on the train
when she was 19.
Marjorie is survived by her husband of 61 years, Glen, her four sons, Blue, Bob, Larry, and Norman, her grandchildren, Jared, Jason, Shauna, Kevin, Vanessa, Emily, and Ross, as well as her great grandchildren, Sunny, Eric, Alex, and Kai. Marjorie's family and
friends take solace in knowing that she has joined our beloved
Meagan in Heaven.
Marjorie and Glen moved to Banff in 1979 then Canmore in 1991,
after raising their four boys in Scarborough, Ontario.
Together they built many lifelong friendships through Boy Scouts,
The Spoke'n'Edge, The Happy Bear, The Banff Centre, Canmore Golf and Curling Club, and Rotary. Marjorie will be fondly remembered for her love of travel, community involvement, hats, and Sunday dinners. Marjorie will be deeply missed by all those whose lives she has touched.
A service to celebrate Marjorie's life was held on Sunday,
November 8, 2015 at the Creekside Hall, Canmore Seniors' Centre.
