Marion Emmelie Barker passed away on September 07, 2016 at Canmore, Alberta. Marion was born January 09, 1936 at Waterloo, Ontario and is survived by her husband George and daughter

Susan (Roderick), son Dan (Kate), daughter Rebecca (Jonathan),

Son Kevin, 13 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren, brother

John Koegler (Merl) and sister-in-law Dolores Koegler.

Marion was very sensitive to the beauty of the earth and Heavenly Father's creations which led her at an early age to a career in art. Through her talent as a fine artist and teacher she touched the lives of many people, instilling in them a creativity that they didn't feel they could accomplish. The many works of art of the mountains and prairies, which she painted are an inspiration to many of the beauty of God's wonderful earth and his creations.

Marion was involved for many years serving in the community assisting the mentally challenged in a support group and other activities. Her extensive knowledge and guiding light was a help and inspiration to all that sought need of it. She is fondly remembered as a loving, gentle and kind wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to all who knew her. She will be missed.

We request no flowers for the funeral due to a severe family allergy.
