Mabel Mckenzie

Mabel Rosina McKenzie passed peacefully at the age of 96 years, at the Canmore Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Mabel lived a full and active life in the Bow Valley including many years as a Girl Guide Leader, as well as managing the Exshaw branch of the Royal Canadian Legion. After moving to the Bow River Lodge in Canmore

in 1989, she continued her kind and generous contributions to her community by being active with the Lodge Residents' committee

with fund raising, the Tuck Shop, Bingo and any other activities where she could help.

Mabel was predeceased by her husband James in 1989, sister

Barbara, and granddaughter who passed in infancy. She will be

lovingly remembered by her three children, Sandra (Red),

Barbara, and Robert (Peggy), six grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren.

Cremation has taken place. A private family service of interment

will be held. A Celebration of Life will be planned in the future, in respecting the limitations that are now in place with the Covid19

and its inherent issues.
