Lillian Kay, longtime resident of Canmore, passed away peacefully on Monday June 27, 2011 at the Golden Eagle View Care Centre, Canmore Hospital, where she has resided for the past 10 years.
Predeceased in 1996 by her husband Morris, Lillian is survived by her two daughters, both born in Canmore, Linda (Wayne) Lee of Kelowna and Debbie (Tim) Stickel of Grande Prairie as well three grandchildren Andrew (Zeena) Lee and great grand daughter Mariah of Kelowna; Justin (Shanna) Lee of Calgary and Brandi Lee of Kelowna.
Lillian was born in Leader, Sask. and moved to Canmore where she met Morris. She and Morris both worked their entire lives in the Bow Valley and raised their daughters to appreciate the mountains and all they have to offer.
The family would like to say a huge thank you to all of the doctors, nurses, staff, volunteers, support staff both kitchen and housekeeping staff of the Golden Eagle View and the Canmore Hospital, both past and present, for all the unconditional love, support and care given to Lillian and her family. We will always remember you.
A Celebration of Lillian's life was held Monday, July 4, 2011 at St. Michael's Anglican Church in Canmore. Lillian and Morris were then laided to rest together in the Canmore Cemetery Columbarium.
