It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Kevin Oscar Hall, who died peacefully at the age of 82. Born in River Hebert, Nova Scotia, he later relocated to Ontario and spent the last 40 years of his life in Burlington, Ontario.
Kevin was predeceased by his beloved wife, Mary J. Hall; his mother, Greta Hall; father, Thomas Hall; and brothers, Maurice Hall and Thomas Hall Jr. He is survived by his siblings, Byron, Ruth, and William Hall; his son, Chris Hall (Laura); and daughters, Karen Gravelle and Greta Heathcote (Scott). He was a proud grandfather to Megan, Jaren, Liam, Kyla, Bea, Callum, and Duncan.
Kevin completed his undergraduate degree at Saint Mary’s University, and was a proud member of the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers Local 128, dedicating his early career to his craft as a tradesman. After completing a diploma in mechanical technology at Sheridan College, he spent over 25 years working at the college in the mechanical lab as a Technologist, carefully tending to his equipment and machines.
An avid aviation enthusiast, Kevin loved airplanes and flying. He cherished spending time at museums, enjoyed reading classic fiction, and keeping up with current events in the newspaper. He and Mary created many memories together, including cruises in the Caribbean and Alaska, trips to Europe, and memorable road trips across Canada and the United States.
The family extends special thanks to the Canmore General Hospital for their kindness and care during Kevin's final days.
A service and family celebration of life will occur at a later date. Kevin will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
