Kerry Smith

The Smith family of Canmore, AB, is deeply saddened and

heartbroken to announce the passing of their loving husband

and father, Kerry Dale Smith.

Kerry was born October 25, 1961 to Adam Smith and Joyce (Bailey) Smith in Edmonton, AB. He moved to the Bow Valley in 1979.

He was a wonderful, hard working, devoted father and husband.

Kerry was an active member of his community and participated in various fundraising events.

Predeceased by his parents and his brother Bob Smith, Kerry is survived by his beloved wife and friend Monique Messier-Smith and their daughter Sierra Smith and his siblings Adam Smith, Janet Smith and Joe Bailey.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Canmore Emergency response team and the Canmore Hospital Emergency room personal who took care of Kerry in his final moments. They are also very grateful for the outpouring of support from friends, family and the community.

A Funeral Mass was celebrated at Sacred Heart Catholic Church,

Our Lady of the Rockies Parish in Canmore Tuesday, January 3, 2017

A reception followed at St. Michaels Anglican Church Hall.
