Kenneth Edward Fynn, age 80, passed away in Canmore after a lengthy battle with cancer.
Ken was born in Saint John, New Brunswick to Andy and Linda Fynn. He graduated from Simonds Regional High School, earned a BSC EE from the University of New Brunswick, and an MA from the University of Northern Colorado.
Ken spent thirty plus years in the Canadian Armed Forces; he worked in private industry for five years; and finished his career at CSE in Ottawa, retiring at age 66.
Ken is survived by his wife of 56 years, Joyce, his son, Sean, his daughter-in-law, Erin, and his four granddaughters, Madalyn, Kaitlyn, Brooke and Emma. He and Joyce moved to Canmore in May 2022 to be near Sean and his family, of whom he was immensely proud.
Ken was predeceased by his parents, his sister, Mary,
and brother, Fred.
Ken was a very good artist, and an excellent photographer. His favourite sport was basketball and he loved Formula I car racing too. He had a wonderful sense of humour and will leaves a great void in the lives of those who loved him.
Cremation has taken place. Interment will be at Beechwood Cemetery in Ottawa at a later date. For those wishing to make a donation, please consider UNB in Fredericton or Beechwood Cemetery in Ottawa.
