Katalin Balint, longtime resident of Canmore, passed away peacefully at the Foothills Hospital in Calgary on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at the age of 79 years. Predeceased by her loving husband of 49 years, Imre (Jimmy) in January 2006, Katalin is survived by one son Jim (Julie) of Canmore, two daughters, Katalin (Graeham) Fraser of Trail, BC and Judy (Dana) Muenchrath of Strathmore as well as grand daughters Crystal, Ashley and Amanda. Katalin is also survived by 3 brothers and 2 sisters in Hungary. Jim and Katalin moved to the Bow Valley in 1967 and she worked at the Canmore Hospital for many years.
The families wishes to extend their sincere appreciation for the care given to Mom over the years, to Dr. A. Brothers and the nurses and staff at the Canmore Hospital and the Canmore Lodge. Sincere appreciation also to the nurses and staff at the Foothills Hospital in Calgary for the care given to Mom in her final days.
A memorial gathering was held at the Canmore Senior's Lodge,
