Jenny Helen Chakowski

It is with love and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jenny Helen Chakowski, who left us peacefully on January 20, 2025 at the age of 97. She was born in Canmore and resided there her whole life. A beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, GG and friend, Jenny was a light in the lives of all who knew her.

Her quick wit, gentle kindness, and warm smile could brighten any room, and her ability to bring joy and laughter to those around her will be fondly remembered by all who experienced the gift of sharing time with her. Jenny touched the hearts of many and leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, compassion, and humour.

Jenny was predeceased by her husband Andrew, her daughter Andrea and her son Jerry. She is survived by her son Stanley (Mary), grandchildren Sean (Tanya), Jodie, Alan, Kate (John), Jessica and Olivia and great grandchildren Gabriel and Samuel.

Jenny’s presence will be deeply missed, but the memories she created and the love she shared will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends.

In her memory, we celebrate the love and laughter she so freely gave, and we hold her close in our hearts forever.
