Jason Sampson

d. October 8, 2019

In the early morning hours of Oct. 8, 2019 Jason Evan Glennon Sampson passed away suddenly at home in Penticton, British Columbia. Jason was 39 years old.

Jason was the youngest son of Evan James Campbell Sampson and Tammy Sampson. Born in Canmore on June 18, 1980 Jason was a true Mountain Man and enjoyed the wilderness.

He had a kind and gentle soul but was very protective of his loved ones and would not tolerate a bully. His friends and family knew he would always be there for them. At an early age, Jason showed a great deal of interest in woodworking. His passion for woodwork flourished into a career building homes. Jason took great pride in the homes he built and had a reputation as a skilled tradesman.

Jason is predeceased by his Father, Evan James Campbell Sampson and his Maternal Grandmother Gwen Glennon. Jason is survived by his Mother Tammy Sampson (Curtis Stevens), Stepmother Cathy Mackenzie, Brother Jesse Sampson (Nancy Powell), Sister Janet Sampson (Todd Martin), Grandparents Jim Sampson, Jean (Lewis) Sampson, and William Glennon. Jason also leaves behind a large extended family that is too numerous to mention but not forgotten.

A celebration of life gathering of friends and family was held on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at the Canmore Legion.

Services provided by Russ Reynolds and Bow River Funeral Service.
