Jane Alison Fetterly Bill

It is with great sadness that the family of Jane Fetterly Bill announce her passing in Calgary, Alberta at the age of 61. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Peter Bill and brother Bruce Fetterly and his wife Nancy and numerous family and friends across Canada and Switzerland. Jane was predeceased by her parents, Raymond and Patricia Fetterly.

Jane was born in Pine Falls, Manitoba and grew up in several Manitoba communities, most notably Gimli. She graduated as a Registered Nurse in 1985. After that she held various nursing positions and charge positions in Canada, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, the USA

and Switzerland. In 1988 when nursing in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, she met her future husband Peter, from Switzerland who she married on August 2, 1989.

Before moving to Canada, Jane and Peter lived for eighteen years in Switzerland where she taught English classes for adults and worked for engineering and financing companies. While Jane lived in Switzerland, she also learned to speak Swiss and High German. In 2013 they

moved to Canmore, Alberta, to enjoy retirement surrounded by

nature and mountains.

Jane was a naturally friendly, helpful, open person. Nursing suited her well ! She liked hiking and biking with Peter and was an avid swimmer. Jane made friends easily and was well liked in many different settings.

The family expresses deep gratitude to all the doctors, nurses, health care providers and home care workers who provided exceptional care to Jane through her illnesses.

It was Jane's wish to be cremated. A private memorial gathering will be held at a future date. In appreciation of the assistance and support Jane received from Home Care over the years, memorial donations may be made. in Jane's name, to the Canmore and Area Health Foundation, 1100 Hospital Place, Canmore AB T1W 1N2, directed to Home Care.
