Jacqueline Viola Trevino (Eagle), loving wife of 62 years of Benjamin and long time resident of West Vancouver, BC passed away peacefully at the Peter Lougheed Hospital in Calgary on August 7, 2013 a week before her 81st birthday.
Jackie is survived by her son Andre (Jennifer) Trevino and grandsons Jordan and Matthew of West Vancouver; daughter Sarita (Patrick) Deegan and grandson James of Canmore as well as her sister Patricia Damgaard in West Vancouver. She was predeceased by her sister, Olga Eagle.
Jackie could cast a mean fly and spent many happy summers at Nimpo Lake, BC, baking bread on her wood stove, fishing and listening for the loons on the lake. Her many friends and clients from Edward Chapman's Ladies Wear would be delighted by her stories and the delicacies of smoked trout upon her return to Vancouver each September.
As was her wish, cremation has taken place and a family service of remembrance will be held at a later date.
Jacqueline loved flowers and her garden. To remember her, the family requests that you plant something special in her memory. Those wishing may also make a donation, in Jackie's memory, to the Canmore and Area Health Care Foundation, 1100 Hospital Place, Canmore, Alberta T1W 1N2
