Hugh Gordon

It is with great sadness that we announce the quiet passing of our father and grandfather Hugh Smith Gordon, beloved husband of Jean who predeceased him in 2004, passed away at Cochrane, where he has made his home for the last few years.

Hugh and Jean came to Canmore in 1982 where Hugh worked for Parks Canada until he retired due to ill health. After Jean's passing, Hugh moved to Cochrane to be closer to his family and received excellent care and companionship at the Bethany Care Centre.

Hugh's family consisted of his two daughters, Elizabeth (Graeme) Hudson and Jean Taylor as well as grandchildren Myles, Dustin and Joanna.

We will miss his kindness and wisdom and his ever present humor.

A private family service will be held at a later date.

Friends wishing to remember Hugh may make donations, in his memory, to the Bethany Care Center, 302 Quigley Drive, Cochrane, AB T4C 1X9 (403) 932-6422 with funds directed to the purchase of a new transport bus. Hugh very much enjoyed going on "field trips"
