Gwen Maubert

Gwen Alda Maubert (nee Crozier) passed away peacefully on

January 4, 2013, with her family by her side. Born in Hamilton, Ontario on Aug. 1, 1951 Gwen was predeceased by her loving husband of 31 years, Lorne. She is survived by her three children Nathan (Danielle and grandchildren Anaya and Eden), Matthew (Kristina) and Meghan. Gwen is also survived by her sisters Karen (Martti) and Norma (Cliff).

Since 1983, Gwen was an active member of the Canmore community. Her love of golf meant she could often be found on the links at the Canmore Golf and Curling Club, and there were few things she loved more than beating Lorne in a round. She was a loving mother,

devoted wife and cherished friend. Always a talker, her stories will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

A memorial funeral service for Gwen was held on Friday, January 11, 2013 in St. Michael's Anglican Church Hall, in Canmore.

Gwen and Lorne believed in giving back to the community that they loved. Much of their service was done through the Canmore Lions Club. In lieu of flowers, friends wishing to remember Gwen may donate, in her honor, to the Canmore Lions Club (#102 – 112 Kananaskis Way, Canmore AB, T1W 2X2). Alternatively Gwen supported a wide array of charities and would have appreciated your giving to any charity of your choice.
