In 1962 Gren and Marion moved to Jasper where Gren worked again at the Shell Service Station before joining Brewster Transport and managing their 2 service stations. December of 1966 Gren and Marion were transferred to Banff where Gren worked as the Maintenance Supervisor for Brewster Transport Co. In 1971 he bought Pearl Laundry and Dry Cleaning and in 1980 he sold the business and purchased the Golf Cart Concession at the Banff Springs Golf Course where he worked until his retirement in 1990.
Gren was an active member of the Banff Men's Curling Club and the Banff Kinsmen, holding the position of President in 1972-73. He joined the Rotary Club of Banff in 1978 and was a member until his death.
