Gary Wayne Worobey, resident of Banff for the past 48 years, passed away suddenly at the Banff Mineral Springs Hospital on Saturday, November 6, 2010, at the age of 64 years. Predeceased by his father Nicholas and younger brother, Reginald, Gary is survived by his mother Florence of Banff as well as his brother Warren (Sylvia) of Canmore and his sister Cheryl of Salmon Arm, BC.
Born in Biggar, Saskatchewan, Gary moved to Banff in 1962 and worked at Star Service Garage where he received his journeyman certification in mechanics. He retired from his work due to ill health and made his home at Mount Edith House, Banff.
A short memorial service was held Friday, November 12, 2010 at the Banff Full Gospel Church, corner of Cougar & Squirrel. A private family interment then took place in the Banff Mountainview Cemetery in the family plot.
