Evelyn Marie (June) Goldbeck

June passed away peacefully on February 15, 2025 in Canmore at 90 years of age. She was born to Fred Goldbeck and Maria Daneliuk on June 3, 1934, the oldest of four siblings.

 She is predeceased by her parents, her sister Shirley, her brothers Ron and Ralph. She is survived by her daughters Kim (Tim), Tamra (Bob), Marnee (Gary), her grandchildren Jennifer (Mike), Jessica (Colin), Brad, Michael (Jo), Matthew (Danelli), Mary, David, Elizabeth, and her 8 great grandchildren. June is also survived by her Uncle Bob, her cousin Roamie, and her many nieces, nephews and friends.

 June loved Canmore and its beautiful mountain vista’s and spent much of her time outdoors, no matter the season, walking along the many hiking and walking trails that Canmore has to offer. She would always stop and chat with friends and strangers, and especially little children that she would meet along the way.

 Her career in nursing led her to have a special bond and a love of children. After retirement, she volunteered her time doing missionary work at an orphanage in Africa, where she fell in love with the children, the people, and their culture. 

 Her travels and volunteer work came to an end after her last trip from Africa when she was diagnosed with cancer. She beat it, just to be diagnosed a few years later with a second cancer, this she also beat, attributing it to her strong faith.

 She would always strive to seek and serve others less fortunate than herself. This she did unconditionally, and would always go without.

 Her family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Hawkins and to the amazing staff and volunteers at Golden Eagle View LTC. You cared, and it showed in how attentive you were towards our mother. We are so thankful for each and every one of you. We mourn, you mourn, we are all family. ❤️

 Her daughters have chosen to have a small family gathering, therefore, there will be no funeral service held.
