Evelene May Wignall, long time former resident of Canmore, died peacefully in Ottawa on January 23, 2014 at age 96 years. She was predeceased by husband Bud and daughter Norma (Ed) and is survived by children Janet (David); Jim (Janice) and Ralph (Laura); eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Evelene was the daughter of William and Janet McFarlane of New Liskeard, ON.
While in Canmore, Evelene and Bud were active members of Ralph Connor Memorial United Church. Evelene had spent the last 14 years in Sherwood Park, Alberta and Ottawa, Ontario.
A private cremation, followed by a Celebration of Life service, was held in Ottawa.
Evelene was laid to rest on Saturday, July 26 in the Canmore Cemetery.
