Emma Teresa Weisenburger passed away at the Canmore Hospital on November 1, 2010 at the age of 85 years. Born in Canmore, Alberta on July 23, 1925, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Theresa Helis. She was predeceased by her four siblings.
Emma married James Elmer (Jim) Weisenburger on June 21, 1952 in Canmore and they later built their home on the original Catholic Church location where they were married.
Jim passed away February 9, 2007.
Emma was born, raised, married and lived in Canmore all of her life. Her yard, flowers, her home and friends were her main interests. Many of Emma and Jim's favourite times together were wintering in Yuma, Arizona.
Emma is survived by one sister-in-law, Frieda Weisenburger of Bassano, Alberta and several nieces and nephews and their families.
Funeral Mass was celebrated at Our Lady of the Rockies Catholic Church, Canmore, Alberta on Friday, November 5, 2010 at 11:00 am. Interment followed in the Canmore Cemetery.
Lunch then followed at the Canmore Royal Canadian Legion Hall.
