Ellie Church

Margaret Elinore (Ellie) Church passed away peacefully at the

age of 80 in Canmore, AB.

Ellie was born in Goulais River, Ontario to Archie and Beatrice Young as the youngest with four siblings (Robert, Donald, Lloyd and Isabelle). She married the love of her life, Lloyd Douglas Church in 1957 and they started their family in Goulais River. After moving to southern Ontario in 1969, they then lived in Oshawa for 20 plus years before moving west to retire in Canmore in 1993. In Canmore, Ellie found the place she always said she would never leave.

She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Lloyd Church

of Canmore, AB; son, Wayne Church of Banff, AB; daughter,

Sandy Croteau and son-in-law, Charles Buchanan of Fortune Bridge, PEI and her three grandchildren; Nicole Croteau (Neil Ferguson) of Victoria BC; Ben Church (Michelle Tkachuk) of Banff/Calgary, AB and Matt Croteau of Calgary, AB. Ellie was predeceased by her son, Jim Church of Banff, AB.

The family wishes to thank all the staff and doctors of the Golden Eagle View for the attentive and exceptional care they provided to Ellie.

Their professionalism and tenderness made such a difference in her quality of life during her final years.

As per Ellie's wishes, no funeral service will be held.
