It is with great sadness that the family of Eileen Agnes Scott (nee Perro) announces that she passed away on Sunday, June 10, 2012 at St. Martha's Place in Banff at the age of 82 years. She was born in New France, Nova Scotia and was the youngest of twelve children. Eileen was a loving mother who enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her three children Bill (Jenny) Scott, Robyn Misericordia, Jill (Doug) Bowron; as well as grandchildren Timi, Theresa, Alex, Eli, Kali, and Kiran; her sister -Sister Theresa Perro of the order of St. Martha's; as well as many other family and friends including Phyllis and Austin McGrath of Canmore.
Eileen graduated from St. Martha's School of Nursing in Antigonish, Nova Scotia as an RN in 1951 and worked in Boston Massachusetts before coming out to Banff to nurse. She spent her nursing career in Canmore and Banff and was Matron of Canmore hospital before marrying Bill Scott of Canmore on July 23, 1960. She continued to live in Canmore after Bill passed away in 1985.
Funeral mass was celebrated Friday, June 15, 2012 in Our Lady of the Rockies Parish, Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Canmore.
