Ed Hindle

Edwin John William (Ed) Hindle passed away December 18, 2016 at the Foothills Hospital in Calgary at the age of 80 years.

He was an adoring Husband, selfless Dad, a gentle Grampa, and a very proud Great- Grampa. Ed is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Midge; his children Tammie (Tony), L.J. & Faye( John);

his grandchildren Tyler (Renee), Tobias (Ashley), Cassidy (Matt), Tristan (Hannah), Austin, Tegan (Seth) and Wyatt, as well as his

great –grandchildren Harlow, Amelia, Malachi, Violet and Finnegan.

Ed was a young man when he set off on travels to Montreal, where he found the love of his life, Midge. In 1973 they settled in Canmore with their young family and have called Canmore home ever since.

Ed's work included serving as a realtor in the Bow Valley, where he treated every family like they were his own in his search to find their perfect home.

Ed was best known, though, as an elder in the Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. His love for teaching the words of the Bible reached far and wide. His patience, honesty and caring showed through to everyone and he was always willing to take a moment and just listen.

Take time with your little ones (He cherished their conversations)

Dig in your garden (He enjoyed springtime planting)

Take a walk on the beach (He delighted in the ocean)

Have tea and a muffin with a friend (He treasured those morning dates with Midge). Ed would have loved that.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Canmore Emergency Services, the emergency staff at the Canmore Hospital and to Foothills Hospital ICU (Pod C) staff.

in Canmore
