Dr. John George Sugars, born in Atherton, Queensland, Australia, passed away peacefully in Edmonton after a valiant struggle with a lengthy illness.
John was predeceased by the love of his life, wife Margaret, and his parents Bill and Norah. He is survived by his dear friend Nancy; sons William and Ben; daughters-in-law Mini and Heidi; grandchildren Benjamin, Emily, William, and Rebecca; and brother Bill.
John's kind and gentle heart will be forever missed by all those
who knew him.
His family would like to thank all the staff and doctors at Unit 9Y,
Mel Miller Hospice, Edmonton General Hospital for their kind and compassionate care.
A funeral service in memory of John's life was held on Wednesday,
June 25, 2014 at Ralph Connor United Church, Canmore.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to
Friends of Medicare Alberta.
