Dr. John Alan PITTAWAY of Harvie Heights passed away on May 15, 2010 at the age of 79.
"Pop" Pittaway will be remembered fondly by his wife Jeanette and their five children: John, James, Joan, Thomas and Lois. Pop was born in Buffalo, New York. Pop loved the mountains. He built a house in Harvie Heights in 1967 and would later reside there during his retirement. Family traditions included skiing at Lake Louise, Parker's Ridge, Bow Summit and Bow Glacier. Pop was also an avid golfer and curler. In later years his favorite pastime was sitting on the porch with a good book.
Pop will be remembered for his humor and knowledge and especially for the love of his family and doggies.
