Dorothy Ann Youngberg, (nee Hamblin) long-time resident
of Canmore, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, Nov. 3, 2016. Dorothy is survived by her loving husband of more than 46 years,
Brian, her two daughters Patti Ann and Gay as well as her grandchildren Axel and Anna, all of Canmore.
She is also survived by her brother George of Olds, AB and her sister Louise of Saskatoon, SK. Family was very important to Dorothy, and she had a great love for each and every member in her family. She dearly loved all of her brothers and sisters in-law and numerous nieces and nephews.
Dorothy was a substitute teacher in Canmore for over 35 years.
Where there was a need, she was there to help out her family and throughout the community. She was loved and respected by many for her patience, honesty, sincerity, and her hard work put into everything that she did.
Celebration of her life was held on Monday, November 14, 2016
in St. Michael's Anglican Church hall. Gathering of family and friends immediately followed the service.
As was her desire, cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, friends wishing to remember Dorothy are encouraged to make a donation, in her memory, to a charity of their choice.
