Dora Jean Sykes, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister passed away peacefully in her home in the evening of July 4, 2013.
She will be greatly missed by her husband John Sykes, her sons; Clinton, Kelly and his wife Carol, Shawn and his wife Dena, her six grandchildren; Conner, Kyle, Natalie, Clayton, Riley, Brody, and her sisters Edith Schroeder and Pearl McElheran, as well as countless friends. Oh, how she loved them all.
Dora was born on February 16, 1935 in Three Hills, Alberta. She moved to Banff and married John in 1956. Here she raised her three sons and established deep roots in the community. She loved to visit different places but her passion was for her home.
A Celebration of her Life was held on Friday, July 12, 2013 in the Full Gospel Church, Banff, Alberta.
