Don Wilcox

The Wilcox family announce, with great sadness, the loss of their beloved father and grandfather Donald Lester Wilcox. As many of you know he had being struggling with dementia for some time now and

we are relieved that his passing was peaceful.

Don was predeceased by the love of his life Marlene in 2013 and

is survived by two sons Grant (Kara) and Michael as well as

four grandchildren Kacie (Andy), Erica (Arnie), Jake (Hilary)

and Zachary. Don is also survived by his brother Ken (Norma)

and their family in Minnesota.

Don will be remembered for his kind, compassionate gentleness

and his gift of making everyone feel special and loved. His stories and jokes were the best and he always had one to tell.

A special thank you to his friend Catherine! The time you spent together meant the world to him and we so appreciate all you did.

A big thank you to all the staff at St. Martha's Place in the Banff Mineral Springs Hospital and Rosehaven for taking such good care

of him during his stay.

Following his wishes, we will hold a private family gathering

at a later date.

We have loved him in life, let us not forget him in death.
