Donald Norman Cameron, loving husband of Andrea, passed away suddenly at their cabin at Horsefly Lake, BC on Tuesday,
August 16, 2016. Don was born July 11, 1947 in Flin Flon, Manitoba and leaves his son Robb (Shelley) and daughter Lesley (Dave) Anton and grandchildren Sebastian and Seraphina to grieve his loss. He was predeceased by his parents Cecil and Anna. Don is, also, survived by his sisters Sheilagh (Ron) Basky and Margaret Ollett and his brother Thomas (Charlotte), as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Don and Andrea moved to Canmore in 2008 after retiring from long teaching careers. He immediately became active in the volunteer community of Canmore. He loved curling in the winter with the Seniors League and served on the Environmental Advisory Review Committee (EARC). He was involved in a variety of activities at the Seniors' Centre and took great joy singing with the Valley Winds Choir. The essence of Don was that he was always ready to lend a hand to anyone and everyone who needed help. His jovial spirit will be missed by many.
