This is the story of Denise Elisabeth Rohde, our beloved daughter, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, and friend.
Denise's life journey began on December 13, 1968 in Vancouver BC, where her arrival was greeted with joy and excitement by her siblings Isabella and Bernard, and her parents Horst and Anneliese.
Denise and her friend Helena arrived in Banff in 1987 in search of adventure and a summer job. Denise's "summer job" finally ended
on February 15, 2019.
An expert skier an avid golfer, Denise was also a strong woman
who remained a stalwart Vancouver Canucks fan despite living in Alberta and being subject to Flames propaganda for most of her life.
Denise was a smart, determined, wilful and tenacious woman.
But she was not stubborn, no, definitely NOT stubborn!
Over her time in Banff, Denise had her life arranged to a tee,
three tees actually; trivia, travel, and tequila.
Oh, Denise...how we will miss you. But even though we are sad,
we made sure we spellchecked this tribute because we all know
that you wouldn't put up with any spelling errors.
The family would like to thank Nadine and Marc Green and
Mikes Electric for their unwavering support. Denise's many friends
also deserve a huge thank you for all their help and kindness.
And a special thank-you to Dr. Petersen, Joanne and all the
homecare folks in Banff and Canmore.
There will be a party, oh yes, there will be a party!
