David Andrew Wilson passed away peacefully at his home in Calgary at the age of 61 years. Born in Saskatoon to Andy and Sophie Wilson, Dave was raised in Saskatoon where he met his beloved wife, Cheryl. In 1988, they moved to Banff, and later to Canmore in 1992, where they lovingly raised their children, Amy and Johnathan.
Dave dedicated 30 years to the autobody industry, retiring early 4 years ago to spend more time on his hobbies and with his family, especially his granddaughters. An avid fisherman and golfer, he often enjoyed these activities with his close friend, Mike. Dave also cherished family trips to Disneyland with his granddaughters, creating lasting memories.
He is survived by his daughter, Amy (John) Honaizer; granddaughters, Penny and Nora; siblings, Tom Wilson, and Elaine (Dave) Folk; along with many nieces and nephews. Dave was predeceased by his wife, Cheryl; son, Johnathan; parents, Andy and Sophie Wilson; and in-laws, Jack and Christina Andreen.
Memorial funeral service was held Monday, May 6, 2024 in
the Shrine Church of Our Lady of the Rockies in Canmore.
Dave was then laid to rest in the family plot in the Canmore Cemetery.
