Danny Lambert

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of long term resident Daniel (Danny) Lambert at age 64 after a courageous

three year battle with cancer.

Danny is survived by his loving wife Elizabeth Lambert,

mother-in-law Hannah McGleish, sons Chris (Jennifer) Lambert,

CJ (Shannon) Lambert, Jamie (Sarah) Lambert as well as

4 grandchildren, Kyle, Daniel, Alexis and Jaxon.

Danny and his wife Elizabeth married in 1968, they both lived in the Bow Valley since early childhood, and went on to raise 3 boys over 40 plus years which then gave them 4 beautiful grandchildren.

Pre deceased by his father and mother Pete and Ann Lambert, brother Albert Lambert, sisters Evette Lehman, Chick Neault and Diane Lambert. Danny is survived by his brother Bob (Evelyn) Lambert and numerous nieces and nephews. Danny is also survived by 3 sisters-in-law that he made sure to torment on a regular basis, Linda Stock, Roseline McGleish and Ann Holuc along with their families.

Danny loved nothing more than playing with the grandkids, and sitting out on the deck enjoying a family barbeque. Danny had a passion for motorbikes that was passed down to each of his boys, he enjoyed nothing more than to spend time riding with them.

Danny could run any piece of heavy duty equipment you could put him in, and did it with pride. One of the projects he was most proud of is the large rock wall around the Iron Goat restaurant, he was always one of the first people in equipment when the floods happened in the Bow Valley, and one of the last to leave. He always had an infectious smile, and a good joke to make you laugh.

"God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be,

So he put his arms around you and whispered "Come to Me"

A golden heart stopped beating, hardworking hands at rest,

God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes the Best"

A Celebration of Life for Danny was held on Friday,

November 27, 2015 downstairs at the Canmore Legion.

The family would like to Thank Dr. Bryson, Dr. Quinlan and the numerous Doctors in Calgary and their support staff for everything they had done for Danny.

In lieu of flowers, friends wishing to remember Danny are encouraged to make a donation, in Danny's memory, to the Canmore and Area Health Care Foundation, dedicated to the Cancer Treatment Centre,
