Dana Welch

On Thursday December 13th, 2018, Dana (Darke)Welch, 40, loving wife and mother of two, passed away peacefully at home in Lake Louise, AB surrounded by family.

Dana Nicole Welch was born March 9th, 1978 in Etobicoke to Dannie Darke and Rosemary Quinton. As an adult Dana settled in Toronto and found her calling in Information Technology sales. Over the years she received formal recognition for her many accomplishments.

She lived in Ontario until the age of 32; a vibrant mother of two girls, Trinity Rayne Peca and Skylar Phoenix Peca.

In 2010 Dana followed her heart and moved to the Canadian Rockies living first in Canmore and then onto Lake Louise. It was here where she met and married her soul mate, Shaun Welch. All who knew Dana, knew she lived most every moment to the fullest. Larger than life, this beautiful woman with her splash of red and amazing smile, left her impression on everyone she met.

Dana was diagnosed with lupus in 2013, and battled this unpredictable disease with everything she had.

Predeceased by her brother Eric Quinton, Dana is survived by her loving husband Shaun, her beautiful daughters, Trinity and Skylar Peca, her parents Rosemary and Jon Quinton and Dannie and Sue Darke. She will be deeply missed by her brother and sister Cyril and Christine Darke. Dana leaves behind her in-laws Rick and Marie Welch, brother and sister in law Colin and Lindsey Welch and their children. She will be forever remembered by her aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. Winston and Glich will be sad.

Dana has requested that in lieu of flowers, people can donate to the Canadian Lupus Foundation, #200, 1301 8 Street SW, Calgary AB,

T2R 1B7, towards research for a cure.

There will be a celebration of life Memorial Service on Saturday, December 22nd, 2018, at the Grand Hotel and Suites located at

225 Jarvis Street, Toronto, Ontario, M5B 2C1, from 1 to 4 p.m.
