Cliff Holland

Clifford (Dutch) Ashmore Holland passed away peacefully at the Canmore Hospital at the age of 93.

Born in Toronto Cliff was the youngest of 7 siblings. Cliff married the love of his life Shirley Grace Leppington in Winnipeg in 1953.

They met while he was a pilot in the RCAF.

Cliff and Shirley became parents in 1954 to a son – Scott. They later moved to Cobourg, Mississauga and then Brampton. Cliff left the RCAF to be close to home and became a stockbroker and later a property manager of high-rise apartment buildings. Cliff was predeceased by

his wife in 2013.

Cliff lived the majority of his life in southern Ontario and moved to

Origin at Spring Creek in Canmore in March of 2022 to be closer to his son Scott. He will be remembered for his kindness, sincerity, giving spirit, a love of helping others and a great sense of humor.

Scott and his wife Marjorie would like to thank Karen McKinney for her incredible support for Cliff during the past years in Ontario and being instrumental in making the move to Canmore a reality.

Cliff is survived by his son Scotty Holland who resides in Banff.

The family would like to also extend a sincere thank you to all the wonderful staff at Origin at Spring Creek who took such great care of Cliff. He was a great story teller and the staff enjoyed his quick wit and his wonderful demeanor. Special thanks to Dr. Hawkins, the nurses and the staff at the Canmore Hospital for showing great compassion and caring making Clifford's last few weeks comfortable.
