Cindi, of Canmore, AB, passed away with her husband Patrice Turgeon, and her children, Skye and Evan, at her side.
She was born in London, Ontario to Marjorie and Neil Armstrong and moved to Banff in 1972 where she developed life-long friends. She attended school in Banff and graduated from the University of Calgary.
Cindi met her soul-mate, Patrice in 1986 and together they moved to Vancouver for 10 years. While in Vancouver, Cindi was the manager of Harbour Ferries Tours and a 100-slip marina. They wed in Canmore in 1996 and after the birth of their daughter, Skye, they returned to live in Canmore where their son, Evan, was born. She was a stay-at-home mother for 8 years before returning to work.
Cindi's six-year relationship with breast cancer came to a close
August 13, 2011. She found her journey to be a gift in many respects, teaching her a great deal about herself mentally, physically, and spiritually. She grew immensely during these years meeting many amazing people that she would never have met if not for the cancer.
Cindi is survived by her husband, Patrice; her children, Skye and Evan; her parents, Marjorie and Neil; her siblings Lori, Blair, and Renee; her uncle Doug; her cousin, Diane, extended family, and her many wonderful friends.
