Christopher passed away at the young age of 39 years in Canmore after succumbing to his battle with cancer.
Christopher was born in Brampton, Ontario and was raised in Alliston, ON. After high school, he moved to the United States where he worked at Cookie Kingdom for ten years. He then returned to Canada where he met the love of his life, Lauri, and the two of them found a home and a new beginning in Canmore, Alberta.
Christopher is survived by his spouse Lauri Dean; his parents Carol Watson, Barry Hackett, Clifford and Elizabeth Sheppard; grandparents Mae Hackett and Bernice Watson as well as siblings Sean and David Hackett; Kevin Sheppard and Jennifer Curran-Sheppard along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins which he loved with all his heart.
A small memorial service was held on Saturday, January 12, 2013 in the Bow River Funeral Service Chapel on Railway Ave. in Canmore. We ask that anyone unable to attend, please light a candle and say a prayer for Christopher.
Also on June 22, 2013, on what would have been Christopher's 40th birthday, we will be hiking his ashes up Grassi Lakes to his final resting place. All are welcome to join us.
