After a courageous battle with cancer, it is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of "Uncle Chuck", Charles B. Pinkney at the Foothills Hospital in Calgary at the age of 64 while surrounded by loved ones.
Chuck is survived by his sisters Donna (Rick) and Debbie (Allen) both living in Ontario and by his brother Neil (Jeannie) in Alberta. Chuck is also survived by friends Crystal (Ryan) and Danielle in Cochrane and Pat (Jacqueline) in Canmore as well as Rick (Sandy) in Australia.
Chuck now joins his parents Ruth and Bruce in heavenly peace.
Chuck was a long time employee with Canadian Tire, working in the Automotive Department, which he loved.
Chucks greatest joy was his little Dani(elle). She was there to always make him smile. He cherished every moment, every hug and every goodnight kiss !
Chucks friends and family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude for all the care Chuck received from the exceptional staff at the Foothills Hospital and the Tom Baker Cancer Clinic in Calgary, as well as all the staff at Shoppers Drugmart in Canmore and all the Doctors, nurses and paramedics involved during his lung transplant and during his illness.
As was Chuck's request, cremation has taken place and no funeral service will be held. Friends joined together with the family for a Celebration of Life gathering which was held Sunday, June 14, 2015 at the Canmore Royal Canadian Legion.
Donations can be made, in Chuck's memory, to the Alberta Cancer Foundation in Care of the Tom Baker Cancer Centre,
